About Me:
|
I've had an interesting life. I spent the first years of my career as a photographer. I spent1991-2004 working in colleges, and then a brief stint in high school. I went to college way too many years, and got my doctorate. Over the years, I have also worked some in public safety work with a fire department and a corrections agency.
I'm married with kids, a grandson and lots of pets. My hobbies include a variety of activities. I enjoy paddling canoes and kayaks in calm water (kayaks more than canoes). I have 3 flyrods but I have never had the chance to fish clear water with them. The family enjoys camping when we get the chance. In previous years, I liked to do a lot of caving in the area, as well as rappel and scuba dive. I also enjoy digital photography.
I got my Technician class in March 2009, and my General class in Feb. 2010. I've been working on my Amateur Extra class for quite a while now. I'll take the exam sometime...
Favorite places include the Great Smoky Mountains, KY/TN's Land Between the Lakes, and the Gulf Coast of Florida.
To quote a Jimmy Buffett phrase: I'm growing older, but not up.
