Served in British Military. Saw active service in S.E Asia, and the Middle East. Retired as Government Adult Education Adviser. Pastimes included sailing yachts; e.g. 2 solo Atlantic passages in my 25 feet sailboat "PATRIOT"; was also part-time sailing journalist.

I was shocked to work a UA**** who sent "500W+6El dpl". Checking his QRZ page I noticed that the 6 ele yagi was at 100 feet! :o

As far as clocks are concerned, use "Task Manager" to see exactly what programs and/or services are running on your PC.

I have also discovered that stations with excessice power (e.g. 50 watts upwards) generally have problems being decoded! Their signal is outside the paramete...

I am on every evening...Also check the "chat page" we have as we try to contact stations. I run 10 watts to an OCF which is 110 feet ...
