How many of you joined a Ham radio club and shortly afterwards thought maybe this isnt the right place for me. manily due to officers making all descions and quite frankly leaving the meberships as an afterthought and the memberships main reason for being there was to support / donate/ and give to the officers decessions regarding the club , and not placing the membership / members first.... an example: Club has x amount of dollars on hand officers make a purchase that will almost wipe out the club funds...then later tell the members that that made the purchase after the fact... Now the clubs having almost no monies left for items that my really be needed like repeater repairs or antenna repairs etc etc.. Is this fair to the clubs paying membership... It seems alot of clubs are self centered on what just 1.2 or 3 oficers want and will go or do about anything to get their way... Have you had bad experices like above with your clubs. Do you regret evening joining because of offiers taking control of everything. Please if you leave comments don't include a club name, not here to single out a bash a particular club just trying to see how many that have joined a radio club are un-happy in doing so.
