I'm trying to set up an Auxiliary Comms Team with my county EM. He's all for it. Especially since he has seen what ham radio had to offer some 2 years ago after we got hit by an EF-4 tornado.
Now I have some saying not to do ARES, and others saying not to go RACES,
So what are your opinions regarding either? Which would be more beneficial to emergency management? Which do you use? Other comments or ideas?
