Since I have added some equipment during the past few weeks I found I had to re design the operating desk.
So I built a small shelving unit and added it to the smaller desk.
So now I have all 5 of my HF rigs setup to operate.
My Icom 7000 is set up for 6 meters only.
The FT-950 is in line with the Ameritron AL-80A.
The Kenwood TS-830S is in line with the Heathkit SB-200 amplifier.
The FT-101E and Drake TR-4C operate without an amplifier in line.
It is stacked in here pretty tight. But I can easily access every rig.
Notice that little note above the Drake TR-4C?
The call sign VE3LDB is my second call. That was my later Father's original call which he held from 1977 until late 2009. When he passed away I applied for his call. I rarely use it but I wanted it for sentimental reasons.
One computer setup is for digital modes. The other is the main computer for internet use

Looking good Rick, the FT101E was the transceiver to own when I first got my licence. a local ham came out with a mod to take the 6146 tubes.

Good job, OM.

Looks nice! Love that 101E. I was working in a 2-way shop back in the mid-70's when they came out. Had a 101B, 101E, 101EE, 101EX over the years. Also had a FTDX-401, beautiful rig. I still have a FT-901DE, and it's a great performer...was considered a contest rig in it's day. Dave WB4IUY www.WB4IUY.net

The FT101 brings tears to my eyes [joking]... I had 3x this type of rig at different times starting in 1972. Indestructible ... I just think I could still open one up blindfolded and do some maintenance work on it. It was my first real rig after an HX-20 and JR-599 I had started with at high school age 17...
