Howdy, I am looking for information on the Extra test preparation on CD. If there is more than one place that does the CD, which one is best? I spend hours a day on the road for my job and never seem to have as much time to study from the book in the evening. A CD would make it so much easier for me, I think. Kris K3CAV

I have not heard of an audio CD that you could listen to. Sounds like a good idea though.

I believe that Gordon West has a whole series of audio cd's for all licenses and cd practice. Google is your friend Product Description This audio theory course covers the material for the Element 4 FCC Extra Class amateur radio license exam. Author Gordon West, WB6NOA, has recorded these 7 audio CDs to complement his Extra Class book. Every question and answer is included, along with his fun explanations and memory tricks to help you learn the material you need to know to pass this difficult, technical examination. http://www.amazon.com/Extra-Class-Audio-Theory-Course/dp/0945053444/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1283206516&sr=8-1is that what you are looking for?

Good luck on your journey to Extra! Mine will begin next spring (just made General, and I'm going to take some time to learn a little CW).
I used Gordon West's CDs and textbook, along with the ARRL book, as my prep for General. I can't rave enough about how well this approach worked for me, as just reading is hard to do for me timewise (I travel a lot and enjoyed listening to his audio CDs). Gordon is part of the W5YI Group, but his stuff is also available on Amazon.
Again, good luck and let us know what you thought of the test!

Brian
