Just wondered if anyone has experience with any of the online Electronic Technician programs out there?
I'm considering Heathkit, Cleveland Institute of Technology, Penn Foster, and will consider any others, based on replies.

My initial thought is to not spend your money on any "courses" online. If you have the desire you can find the answers. Instead study for your Extra, General, or the FCC's General Radio Telephone Operators license. I am not saying that school is bad, just that online courses don't really give the degree they promise.

If you are talking about ham radio, I say don't pay for a course. Get the ARRL study guide for the level your testing for, and take one of the qrz.com practice tests every day. When your scoreing in the upper 80's your probably ready.
If you are talking about non ham radio schools, like for computer or other electronics, I have looked into this myself. Their are some reputable schools out there. Most have real campus as well as online or are very well know. Also before checking out an online school look them up on the better business bureau.

Thanks guys.
I probably should have clarified in my initial post...I like to fix radios and would like to expand it into TVs and other electronic products as well, so am looking for an online school that's going to provide a real, good, solid foundation in electronics, and one that, if a job in a shop came along, would be respected in the industry.
