I am considering buying a EQ or Processor for my TS-2000 and MC-60 Microphone. I am currently looking at the MFJ-655 DELUXE MIC AUDIO EQ/CONDITIONER, VU METER or the MFJ-654 same device but without the VU Meter. Can anyone tell me anything about this unit Pro and Cons or possibly suggest another product. I am not 100% sold on the MFJ.

I would like others input as I know allot of you are using processors.

thanks.

Ken,
You need to check them out on eham....they didn't get very many good reviews.  No personal experience here, but I'd be wary of those particular units.  For just a few $$ more, you could have the W2IHY unit.
As far as MFJ goes, some of the stuff is good, some not so much.  The tuners seem to be ok, and I have had a couple of those with no negative issues (a 901B and the 993B that I am currently using).  Most of their audio stuff had been badly panned in the reviews however.
Your mileage may vary.....

I just seen that. I was just reading the reviews.  Not pretty. I also checked out the W2IHY but really didn't like the looks of it. but I guess there are more important things then looks. What bothers me with the W2IHY is the top controls. it wont work good in my console. I would prefer front controls.

Hi guys, i run with a TS870, HEIL PROSET PLUS and a W2IHY 8 band eq and always get great audio reports.Took a little time to set up the audio but well worth it in the end. Also the service you get from Julius (W2IHY) goes beyond the call of duty.

I have had the 655B and it led me to go ahead and make the jump to "RACK" gear instead as the complaint I had with the 655B was there seemed not enough adjustment. I bought it just to see, for the least amount of money, if an EQ/gate/compressor would do anything for my audio, it did just not enough adjustment / control for me.
Hope this helps,
