it's not normally a huge issue when the conditions are good, when it comes to European stations. I sometimes hear opetators from the US but they are usually lost in the interference. Is there a cheap and easy solution?

tnx

Depending on your radio, you could use the built-in filters, notch filters and/or DSP to try and filter out the unwanted QRM.  Another idea might be a directional antenna system, if possible.  I'm sure other folks will chime in with more/better options.

Had a quick look at your QTH and as your in a very built up area you will always struggle with QRM from TV's thermostats PLT devices, Have you tried from a portable location outside of the city? or could you setup a temp station on the sports field thats very close to you?
