Come and join in the conversation or just take notes if you like.
A new Facebook page, Amateur Radio QRP
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Amateur-Radio-QRP/242560105830171

QRP operation means transmitting at reduced power levels while aiming to maximize one's effective range while doing so.

Most amateurs use approximately 100 watts of power, and in some parts of the world like the US, can use up to 1500 watts. QRP enthusiasts contend that this is not always necessary, and doing so wastes power, increases the likelihood of causing interference to nearby televisions, radios, and telephones and, for United States' amateurs is incompatible with FCC Part 97 rule, which states that one must use "the minimum power necessary to carry out the desired communications."

I have just "liked" the page. Since I am using QRP more and more, especially when operating digital, I need all the help I can get!

Facebook is a great tool. I think it is much safer than Amateur Radio Sites and Forums.
There are 3 people on facebook that share your name.
I can not find anything out about them because they have there accounts locked.
I can find out everything about you and also get driving directions from QRZ and other Amateur Sites without even having an account.
For a small fee I can look up anyone in the world.
The internet knows more than most give credit~
Always be careful what you post, where you post etc.

Glad your on HRN Paul. I hope to work your station.

I don't have a problem with facebook, you just have to remember that anything and everything you post is potentially viewable by the entire world, and act accordingly.

I joined the QRP group as soon as I saw it.
