It is HF Chatter:) Im trying to find Pedestrian mobile enthusiests around who have to Homebrew their rigs as well. Anywhere in the world is ok. I have RFI issues in my Apt complex so i have to walk around to find a place to even listen to the radio! I have unresolved TVI and ominously AC line interference:( currently the houseing authority just gives me looks. Our complexes houseing police officer showed me some of the good safer spots to try and transmit from. His radio gets interfered with sometimes cause some 'neighbours' jam police radios here for 'business reasons'. 73 de everyone wh drops by:)

Howzit, I'm new to the site and the forums and Ham radio as well. Its all honour system so I ask to not step on toes. I am Technician classed and we dont have a lot of HF bands to use. I dont want to boldly go where my licence class is clearly not authorized to be or welcome. I believe the licence grades are for very good reasons and should be respected in all ham radio activities especially where Hams gather. Also HF-Pack is a name not nessecarely the band the radio in the HF-Pack operates. I dont want to be cheeky posting in HF Chatter simply because the names are close to matching Wink

Have you tried contacting the local cable company and power provider?  I'm not sure where you are, but down here in my section of Florida, FPL has an RFI team that will be more than happy to hunt down and fix issues.

There was a man pack available on eBay I believe or it may have been on QTH.     It was for an Icom of the 706 series and I think it had the batteries installed.     Good luck.
